A Canadian won $ 60 million after playing the same lottery numbers for the past 20 years after the numbers came to her husband in a dream. She was made redundant last spring following the Corona pandemic.
Deng Pravatoudom, 57, from Toronto, Canada, won $ 60 million after playing the lottery numbers her husband dreamed about 20 years ago. The mother of 2 and the grandmother of 2 had worked as a laborer with her husband for over 40 years.
On December 1, 2020, Pravatoudom left the temple after his morning prayers to shop at the mall. A regular lotto player, she checked her LOTTO Max ticket and found that she had won a free game, to which she added ENCORE. A few days passed.
Her husband checked the lottery numbers while Pravatoudom went to the bank and found out the fantastic news. She said she was redeemed to tears when he broke the news seriously, knowing he was being truthful, adding:
“I have always prayed for a blessing for my family to be taken care of!”
Pravatoudom was very nervous when she received her award from the OLG Awards Center in Toronto. She also participated in the first virtual celebration of the winners due to the province-wide lockdown.
Pravatoudom arrived as an immigrant with her 14 siblings in 1980 from Laos. A local church in their area supported them because the family was destitute.
In 40 years, Pravatoudom and her husband have built a life for their two children, although they have never worked in a job that does not offer them a minimum wage as laborers.
When Pravatoudom broke the news to his children, they expressed their enthusiasm and an overwhelming sense of relief. According to the mother, her children said:
“Mom and Dad, you have worked so hard for 40 years and made so many sacrifices, so you deserve this happiness!”
Pravatoudom says she will buy a house, leave her apartment with the earnings, pay some bills and help her immediate and extended family members. Having never traveled the world, Pravatoudom intends to have fun after confinement.
Last June, a Michigan man won $ 2 million after accidentally purchasing an additional winning lotto ticket. Samir Mazahem intended to buy a ticket online but forgot to save the numbers as favorites to play them in the future.
After logging into the Michigan Lottery app to store them, he didn’t realize he was buying a second ticket with the same numbers. This doubled Mazahem’s luck when he won twice with the winning numbers.
A North Carolina nurse serving on the coronavirus frontlines received fair rewards in another lottery winning story when she won $ 1 million.
After being selected from 513,000 submissions, Terri Watkins said she prayed for a miracle amid the grief she had witnessed around her due to the devastating pandemic.
