On Saturday, residents were invited to an exclusive event at the Dukinfield Rugby Club after learning their postcode had been selected for the £ 3million jackpot.

Julia Skellorn, 46, didn’t sign up to play the postcode lottery until June after hearing about the big wins from her friends at Audenshaw.

She said: “It’s all a bit surreal, but really exciting.

“It was just amazing when the last letter of the winning zip code was revealed to everyone and I realized it was mine.

“I was only expecting to win the minimum amount, which was said to be £ 500, so that was a big shock.”
