Manila bettor wins P16-M lottery jackpot

MANILA – Christmas came early for a lone bettor who took home the PHP 16 million Lotto 6/42 draw jackpot on Thursday night, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) reported on Friday.

In a notice, the PCSO stated that the lucky bettor guessed the winning combination of 38-41-21-28-02-13 with a jackpot of PHP6,037,716.20. The winning ticket was purchased in Manila.

To claim the check, the bettor must go to the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City and present the winning ticket and two ID cards.

A total of 34 other bettors who guessed five of the six winning combinations won PHP 24,000 each, the PCSO said.

About 1,749 punters received PHP 800 each for getting four of the winning combinations while 20,062 punters won PHP 20 each for guessing three correct combinations.

Loto 6/42 is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

This is the fifth time this month that a single bettor has won the state lottery games jackpot.

On November 13, a lone bettor from Laguna became an instant millionaire after winning the PHP 8.48 million jackpot from Lotto 6/42 while on November 9, another bettor from Quezon City won the jackpot of 15 million PHP from Super Lotto. 6/49.

On November 7, another bettor from Misamis Oriental also won the PHP 8.24 million jackpot from Lotto 6/42 while on November 4, a single bettor from San Carlos City, Pangasinan won the jackpot of $ 125 million. PHP code for Super Lotto 6/49.

PCSO Executive Director Royina Garma urged the public to continue patronizing PCSO products as much of their income goes to charity programs.

The PCSO is the main government agency responsible for raising and providing funds for national health programs, medical assistance and services, and charities. (ANP)
