A Lillington woman is celebrating big today, after winning $834,910 on a North Carolina Education Lottery Carolina Cash 5 ticket.
Katie Bailey bought her $1 Carolina Cash 5 Quick Pick lottery ticket at the Food Lion on West Cornelius Harnett Boulevard in Lillington. Luckily for her, that’s where she works.
Bailey got the ticket for the April 29 draw during her off hours, and it paid off nicely. She received her prize Tuesday morning at the NC Education Lottery headquarters, and after taxes, she has $592,873.
Cash 5 is one of four North Carolina lottery games where players have the option of purchasing their tickets at a retail outlet or online, either through the lottery’s website or mobile app. official NC lottery. Cash 5 tickets are $1 and raffles are held every night.
