Liberia: CBL official wins UBA “Save and Win” raffle draw

United Bank for Africa (UBA) Liberia Limited honored another loyal customer in their “Save and Win” raffle. The draw aims to motivate clients to adapt to the culture of savings within a specified time frame.

The raffle, which took place at the Old Road Market, said ME Armaso Bawn, Director of Financial Markets at the Central Bank of Liberia (CBL), the third winner of the ongoing “Save and Earn” promotion.

It may be recalled that Ms. Lucia Johnson and Jennie Boe, Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Coordinator of the Montserrado County Health Team left with two new motorcycles from the UBA draw.

Relevant regulatory bodies including the National Lottery Authority (NLA), the UBA branch manager, cashiers, customers and many others, including motorcyclists, attended the draw characterized by cultural performances.

Spectators at the ceremony where Mr. Bawn won the “UBA Save and Win Promotion” described the process as “free, fair and transparent” and praised the UBA for giving back to its customers.

UBA Liberia’s Director of Corporate Banking, Joseph Sando, who presented the award on behalf of the bank’s chief executive, Olalekan Balogun, said the campaign’s aim was to reward loyal customers while trying to promote savings in the country as a culture.

According to Sando, the “Save and Earn Promotion” is just the start of bigger opportunities for UBA clients, stressing “but all you have to do is save $ 300 or the dollar equivalent. Liberians for a period and you will have a chance to benefit. “

In response, Alfred Reeves, who received the award on behalf of Mr. Bawn, congratulated UBA on the promotion and encouraged others to start saving with the bank as there will be more benefits for them. Meanwhile, the current promotion, which started on September 1, 2019, is expected to run until January 30, 2020, where the final winner will walk away with a brand new kehkeh (tricycle).

According to the Bank, each month a lucky winner will be awarded a motorcycle in a raffle and a kehkeh (tricycle) for the final draw, which will total four motorcycles and a kehkeh (tricycle) for the entire period.

The criteria for entering the raffle are that all existing and new customers deposit or establish their account balance at US $ 300 or L $ 50,000 from the beginning of the month without withdrawing until the end of the month to check out. automatically qualify for the draw.
