The new £ 250,000 monthly mega raffle for The Health Lottery kicks off this Saturday, September 1st.
Players will have the chance to win this new jackpot, while also supporting local health causes by raising funds for hundreds of charities across Great Britain.
This week’s monthly mega raffle will take place at 7 p.m.
With the primary aim of making a real difference for thousands of people across Britain, over £ 100million has been raised by the company’s lotteries through The Health Lottery.
Martin Ellice, Health Lottery, said: âThis Saturday’s very first £ 250,000 mega raffle is momentous for The Health Lottery. That’s why we want more players than ever. All of our work here at The Health Lottery has one specific goal: to raise more money for local charities that need it most. The more people who participate, the more help we can provide.
During the month of August, Health Lottery South East raised funds through The Health Lottery program to support local good causes in their area. It is also very easy to get involved. To win the Mega Raffle, players simply pay £ 1 per line and choose five numbers between 1 and 50. For each line purchased in the main Health Lottery draw in each of their 5 weekly draws, the player also receives one. entry into the Mega raffle.
After being a loyal Health Lottery player for years, Martyn, 58, from Swindon, was shocked to learn he had won a jackpot of £ 49,535 one morning as he prepared for work. Here is what he had to say:
âMy first reaction was that I didn’t believe it,â Martyn exclaimed with a surprised look. “I checked the ticket 3 times and realized I had all the numbers!” “
With more chances of winning, it’s no wonder the Mega Raffle is getting so much fun.
What is the health lottery?
The Health Lottery is an independent UK lottery. It operates 12 regional lotteries across Great Britain. Each month, the money raised is allocated to one of these rotating regions.
This means that throughout the year each region in England, Scotland and Wales receives a share of the funds raised.
The 12 regional lotteries have a specific objective: to fight against health inequalities in their respective fields.
Over £ 100million has already been raised. Every £ 1 ticket you buy raises even more.
Each of the 12 regional lotteries is licensed by the Gambling Commission.
