SANTA FE – The State of New Mexico has confirmed the winners of the first prize of the Vax 2 the Max Sweepstakes, a $ 10 million cash competition funded by the federal stimulus and intended to encourage vaccination against COVID-19 .
Four vaccinated New Mexicans – one from each public health region in the state – are each confirmed winners of $ 250,000, drawn by the New Mexico Lottery. The winner from the southwest region is a resident of Chamberino.
The confirmed winners of the Friday June 18 draw are:
- Ruth Meilstrup, 72, from Santa Fe
- Phillip Perez, 53, from Albuquerque
- Linda Tobkin, 68, from Ruidoso
- Taylor Brooke Provencio, 23, from Chamberino in DoÃ±a Ana County
Non-winning entries will carry over to each successive $ 1 million draw. New Mexicans who have registered for the draw do not have to re-register to remain eligible for future draws. Vaccinated New Mexicans who have not yet registered for the draw can still register for future draws at vax2themaxnm.org. The deadline to register for each drawing is 6 p.m. the day before.

Four more draws of $ 1 million on Friday, with four regional winners of $ 250,000 each, will take place throughout the summer, each conducted by the New Mexico Lottery on behalf of the Lujan Grisham administration.
The next $ 1 million draw is scheduled for July 2, followed by draws scheduled for July 16, 23 and 30.
A $ 5 million raffle is scheduled for early August.
