£11.8m lottery jackpot ‘must be won’ up for grabs on Saturday

A massive £11.8million ‘up for grabs’ jackpot is up for grabs in the National Lottery draw on Saturday.

There were no winners from Wednesday night’s jackpot, meaning the estimated £11.8m rollover will either be picked up by a lucky winner who matches all the numbers or shared between the finalists.

Andy Carter of Camelot, Senior National Lottery Winners Adviser, said: “It promises to be an amazing lotto draw on Saturday with a massive £11.8million jackpot up for grabs.

“In a ‘to be won’ draw, if the jackpot is not won, the prize money is split between the other prize tiers, which means that many players could win significantly more.”

However, a player has claimed a £1,000,000 prize after matching five of six winning numbers and the bonus number in Wednesday’s draw.

A total of 32 people won prizes of £1,750 by matching five lotto numbers, while another 2,392 matched four and claimed £140 and 62,623 matched three to win £30 each.

The winning lotto numbers were 06, 22, 29, 48, 50, 59 and the bonus number was 03.

A set of five balls and a Guinevere shooting machine were used.

Two contestants won £13,000 each in Lotto HotPicks, while a single person won £5,000 in Thunderball, along with thousands more who won smaller prizes.

The winning Thunderball numbers were 11, 16, 21, 23, 27 and the Thunderball number was 14.

Mr Carter added: “National Lottery players are making a huge difference for National Lottery good causes across the country, generating over £30m every week.

“Thanks to National Lottery players, over £1.2 billion has been distributed across the UK to date to help tackle the impact of coronavirus.”
